How I Work
I’m Krissella, a California-based psychotherapist providing relational, trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families seeking depth, clarity, and meaningful change.
My approach is relational, intuitive, and clinically grounded. I’m not a one-size-fits-all therapist, and I don’t believe therapy should be rushed, overly rigid, or tied to arbitrary endpoints. Some clients come for support in a specific season; others stay and walk through multiple chapters of life with me. Both are welcome.
I tend to work well with people who have often felt “too much,” too complex, too sensitive, or difficult to fully understand in traditional spaces. Many of my clients are thoughtful, emotionally aware people carrying anxiety, trauma, identity questions, relational pain, or the exhaustion of adapting for too long.
My style is warm, direct, reflective, and collaborative. I draw from approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems–informed work, somatic practices, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions, tailoring the work to the person rather than forcing the person into a model.
At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: healing is often less about becoming someone new, and more about recovering the parts of yourself that had to go quiet in order to survive.
